• If anyone has been able to make permalinks work (either with mod_rewrite OR via index.php) at a Network Solutions hosted site, could you give me a hand? I’ve tried everything that’s mentioned in the postings about permalinks to no avail.

If I try to use mod_rewrite (which seem to be enabled, because garbage in my .htaccess file causes a server exception), I get error 404.

If I try to use the /index.php/ option, I get a “No input file specified” error message.

I can get the first posting using /mydomain.org/index.php?p=1 but not /mydomain.org/index.php/1 (with a suitable permalinks template: /index.php/%post_id%).

I have checked the permissions of .htaccess, put a php.ini file in my root directory, edited the .htaccess file to include “Options +FollowSymLinks”, etc., to no avail.

I don’t care at this point whether it’s using index.php or via mod_rewrite, I just want permalinks to work.

    Thanks in advance,

    Rafael Bracho
