permalinks on numeric ip address

  • i am running wordpress on a numeric IP before a DNS tranfer that is happening at a later date. is there anyway to get permalinks working when running wordpress off a numeric IP? interior pages, archives, etc… are simply returning 404s when I activate permalinks – though the URLs are getting rewritten properly.
