  • Have you played around with the custom permalink option in Settings -> Permalink. You should be able to get your desired result using the many tags available here: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Using_Permalinks#Structure_Tags

    something like: %category%/%postname% would probably do the trick.

    I have tried, but no succes + wordpress doesn’t work when “Category base” is the same as the “Category” name or when use the same name in permalink structure.

    For example:
    If I use structure as: /AA/%category%/%postname%
    Category base: AA

    I am getting 404 error while trying to view post’s

    And when “Category base” is empty, it ads ugly “/category/” in URL, which is totally useless.
