• I have searched all day and haven’t seen my actual problem. Have permalinks turned on and my .htaccess file seems to have he right info.

The URI in my browser is correct but no matter what it says the page returned is always my main page.

If I change to “Almost Pretty” using index.php, everything works fine.

    Very confused!

    Vinny

  • Same problem with my site as well. Not sure what’s causing the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Lots of troubleshooting info at the Permalinks page.

In particular, might start by contacting your host and confirming that mod_rewrite and AllowOverride are both on and enabled.

    URL: GarnishBar.com
    Structure: /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

I’m currently hosted with Netfirms. I believe both are on and enabled. I know for sure that mod_rewrite is enabled.

    When I try using: /index.php/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/

I get “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.”

Oh gosh. Netfirms. You’re likely hosed.

Search the forums (here) for “netfirms permalinks”…

I think you can do almost-pretty permalinks though (see the Permalinks page for more info).

The almost pretty permalinks (/index.php/…) is what I tried earlier and it returned the “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria.”
