Permalinks stopped working

Hi,
About a week ago, I started getting page not found and 404 errors. I didn’t change anything that I know of. The permalinks have always been: https://thewinningattitude.com/index/2007/05/post-name.I just switched the permalinks to the default?p=123 and the site works fine. I don’t quite know what this is happening, any help would be appreciated.
BTW: If I change the permalinks to anything but what they’ve been for over a the site works fine????
