Permalinks with ReWrite

  • Hi Guys
    I am wondering is there any way that I can go from permalink structure like
    /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
    To structure like this
    /%category%/%postname%/
    without losing my link structure like link that are linked to my site!
    Here is example: I post a lot on StumbleUpon and my link have structure like
    https://www.coolcrazystuff.com/2008/01/19/funny-fruit-problem/
    So I am wondering if I change my Perma structure will this link get lost and would people from that sites go to blank pages
    I hope I didn’t make this 2 complicated!
