Permanent redirect not working

Hi,

I′ve selected the permanent redirect, but it′s not working at my multisite.

I use a subdomain install for the whole multisite and I would like to route a primary subdomain to a single site. Both the subdomain of the whole site and the primary new domain has the same second level domain name.

Example: I′ve installed the whole site at xy.multisite.de and I would like to permanently redirect one site to the domain st.multisite.de. And this is not working. Is this because the second level domain is the same?

If yes, is there a patch? I use nginx web server have routed all domains within one server block to the same location and rules.
