Permanently block a student

Is there a way to make sure once removed, only the admin can add them back? Or a way where when they click on enrol, the admin receives a request to add them to the course instead of getting added directly and accessing the course contents?

The short answer is no.

The longer answer: Sensei mostly lets WordPress manage users (which is what students are.) So there’s no built-in controls for this sort of thing in Sensei.

However, you could:

• make sure Users must be logged in to view lesson content. is enabled in Sensei -> Settings.
• remove the user from Users, or change their email address; something to block their ability to log in. There’s a good article here: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-block-a-wordpress-user-without-deleting-their-account/
• or, use a plugin like this, for example: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/lock-user-account/
