Permission allowing access to all Buddypress Groups

  • Not at an accessible URL.

    I have two user roles. One is able to see and participate in Buddypress groups, whether they join or not.

    The other is not able to participate in Buddypress groups, unless they join.

    Do you know what permission it might be that allows this behavior? I’ve compared the permissions visually (i.e. reviewed list of granted permissions of each role) and nothing jumps out as the correct permission.

    Any insight greatly appreciated.

    Note: I’ve found that the permissions I’m looking into are not BuddyPress, but in fact come from bbPress in the groups portion of things.

    I’ve manually added the Forum Participant level of capabilities to a user role. It is not working as expected.

    I don’t have the answer on hands. Did you ask the question to BuddyPress developer, what permissions BP requires in addition?
