• When I try and edit or add a post or page in WordPress using IE7, it appears that TinyMCE fails to load. I can edit HTML but don’t get cursor in TinyMCE. The page failure shows as:
    Line 1
    Char: 74
    Error: Permission denied
    Code O
    URL: “MY URL” /page-new.php

It was working when I first installed WP. I installed several plugins since, and I changed the domain for my site too, but everything else works fine and I tried deativating most of my plugins. Same error. I even tried the TinyMCE advanced plugin, same error.

This appears to be commen as I saw some support posts with same issue but I didn’t find any solution.

Please help, I love WP so far, but this will be a deal breaker if I can’t get it to work with IE.

It works fine in Firefox and Opera.

  • Usually this kind of problem is a problem with one of the plugins. Try again deactivating. If it still does not fix it, post the names of the plugins.
Other thing is do you have any plugins related to permissions? If one of those is misconfigured it will give that error.
