Permission Problem After Upgrade

  • Upgraded server last night from Ubuntu 12.04 to 14.04, which made Apache upgrade from 2.2 to 2.4. As part of that Apache upgrade, the home directory moves from /var/www to /var/www/html. Reinstalled WordPress and the database. Then moved the backup files into place.

    Now when I’m logged in as an admin, I can see everything. When I’m not logged in, I don’t seem to have rights to see some site elements (some graphics, pages other than index.php.

    I know this is a permission problem, but not sure where. Anyone run into this?
