Hi, We are using PHP 8.1 and MySQL 8.0, and we are encountering an issue with activation. Below is the error message we are experiencing:”

Blog2Social does not seem to have permission to write in your WordPress database. Please assign Blog2Social the permission to write in the WordPress database. Please also make sure that your MySQL server runs on v5.5.3 or higher, or ask your server administrator to do it for you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for reaching out.

May I ask you if you checked this on your website and made sure that Blog2Social has the permission to write in your WordPress database?

    Looking forward to your reply.

The website is currently able to connect to the database and perform operations such as adding, deleting, and modifying posts. Does this mean it has the necessary permissions?

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

I think there’s a misunderstanding. The notification which you are receiving indicates that Blog2Social does not have the permission to write in your WordPress database.
Therefore, please be so kind as to check this on your website with your webmaster and make sure that Blog2Social has the permission to write in your WordPress database.
After adjusting this, the notification should disappear and you should be able to use Blog2Social properly.

Please let me know if it worked out or if you have further questions.

I haven’t misunderstood your point. The website connects to the database using the database settings in wp-config, right? Articles and data from other plugins can be written to it, but it’s quite strange that Blog2Social isn’t working. So, I don’t understand the reference to ‘no permissions’ here. I believe it’s another issue.

Blog2Social cannot be activated properly, so the Blog2Social option does not appear in the menu for me to access the Troubleshooting Tool
