Permissions

  • Every time I try to edit my theme in the theme editor, I get an error message saying: If this file were writable you could edit it. How do I make it writable?

  • login with your ftp client. go to this file that has to be edited. then change the chmod settings.

    mark your file, right mouse and chmod your file to 755 or whatever it needs to work in your case. normaly 755 is enough, 777 is too much and dangerous
