Hello. I really appreciate your work with the plugin as it has saved me a lot of time!!! Keep it up.

Though, I have a problem. Every time the plugin updates the permissions are lost. Actually, I use the sportspress plugin and I have given permissions to the user groups that this plugin creates. After every update of your plugin, the permissions to these users are lost.

Please fix this as it is a rather annoying bug.

Thank you very much for your time!

    Hi @tunerakos,
permissions should not be reset after each update, they are set and stored using WordPress’ capabilities feature and edited only using the plugin’s settings or another plugin.
I tried to install Sportpress in a clean WP, install a previous version of Duplicate Post, set the permissions for the Sportpress roles, then update Duplicate Post but couldn’t reproduce the bug…

If you have the chance to access the database with Adminer or PHPMyAdmin, can you check if the option “duplicate_post_copy_user_level” is present and set? If so, can you try to delete the relevant record and wait for the next update of my plugin (due by the end of the week) to see if it happens again?

Also, are you using a Multisite install of WordPress or the standard one?

    Let me know!
