I’ve used Press Permit Core previously, but made it inactive while trying out other extensions that control access, to avoid conflicts. Just recently, I turned all the others off and reinstalled and activated Press Permit Core. But it is nowhere to be seen. When I click “Settings” in the Plug-ins list, I get the generic “You are not authorized…” message.

So, it’s a bit weird. I can’t access the access control settings. Something must have messed upp the admin privileges. Can I use User Role Editor to check for whatever’s needed to view and change the settings of Press Permit?

Just reset all user roles. Didn’t help.

You can use a role editor such as Capability Manager Enhanced to add the following capabilities:

    Administrator role:
    pp_manage_settings
    pp_administer_content
    pp_create_groups
    pp_edit_groups
    pp_delete_groups
    pp_manage_members
    pp_assign_roles
    pp_set_read_exceptions

    Editor role:
    pp_create_groups
    pp_edit_groups
    pp_delete_groups
    pp_manage_members
    pp_assign_roles
    pp_set_read_exceptions
    pp_moderate_any
