Permissions problem after Update

    Trying to update wordfence, keeps failing, giving this message. Checked my file permissions all seems ok… however there must be something I am missing.

    The error message is:

    Update Failed: The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.

    Very frustrating… the url redirects to a subdirectory https://www.geraldtonharriers.com/test can this be the problem. Assistance would be appreciated.

    What about updating other plugins, did you get the same message? also, you can try removing the plugin -temporarily- and reinstalling it again via WordPress Dashboard.
