In the plugin options, the placeholder text in the Apache module field still shows even when I fill in the path to my .htaccess file. Is this expected behavior?

The behaviour of that field is not great, and it probably indicates that the value is not being saved. Do you have write permissions to the file?

Since I posted, I had to ask my host’s support for the path. It’s beyond my understanding, but the path was not what you would normally expect for the directory structure. It is persistent since finding out the correct path.

Same issue. We’ve just migrated our site to a new server, different pathname but the old apache pathname persists and is greyed out/can’t be overwritten.
