as described here before, there was an issue with rendering the plugin-related galleries within elementor editor.

meanwhile the guys at elementor did great work, and solved the invisibility-issue, so that the hack from another great guy in the referring thread wont be needed any more!

    so far, o.k.
BUT: there is still no correct rendering of the masonry effect in EL-preview because of “The masonry script still fires too early and doesn’t see the .gallery element(s) yet, so it never gets the special class that binds the masonry effect.” – which obviously cant be satisfying solved from outside the plugin!

so it would be really great and extremely helpful if the plugin-author itself might find a little time to look after that issue once again! ??

maybe there are some more thankful guys around besides me, because EL itself provides no masonry for gallery, and this neat little plugin therefore is a nice helper especially for this builder.

would you please be so kind and take a little look on that again???

    big thanks in advance.

I will take one more look at it. This plugin is designed to fire and load on a normal page load, not in a front end editor. Not exactly sure if this issue is something that can be solved or should even be solved at the plugin level. I noticed Elementor has a gallery widget, ideally that gallery widget would have a masonry option. Is it possible to safely modify or add custom elementor widgets to the elementor plugin?

… EL ist not really what you call a ‘front-end’-editor in my opinion – more of a backend-editor with instant preview :-).

and yes, the ideal way would be if EL had a masonry option for gallery… but thats not the case (for now).

i dont know if its possible to modify or add EL widgets that way. possibly yes, and there will be developer api available some time soon (so they say).

but maybe you might hook into the referring issue on their github to explore whats possible or maybe best?

would really appreciate this!! thanks. ??
