    Problem 1:
A logged in user downloads his data.
On your HTML file he sees only
    – nickname,
    – first_name,
    – last_name,
    – biographical info

while the site knows also his
    – email,
    – website,
Are you planning to show this info as well to be GDPR compliant?

    Problem 2:
WooCommerce brings also user’s company, addresses, etc. Right, this is WooCommerce stuff, but still, are you planning to show also this info in your exported file to be GDPR compliant?

    Problem 3:
For a visitor you say that there’s no data on the site. Not even his IP address?! Maybe WP itself is not gathering this info, but a certain plugin (like WP Cerber Security & Antispam) certainly does.

    Problem 4:
How are you going to deal with the plugins gathering personal info? (in order to export ALL personal data collected by a website/ web-store)

Please clarify all of these 4 problems.
    Thank you
    Valdinia

  • Hi there!

    1) Thanks for this. However, we’ll integrate the plugin with WP’s data exporter in 4.9.6 anyway so this should be resolved soon.

    2) WooCommerce will release their own GDPR tools on May 23rd. We’ll integrate the plugin with them.

3 & 4) Supporting a new plugin requires separately coding an extension, so it’s impossible for us to support every one of them. I recommend you get in touch with the plugin authors and ask them to add GDPR compliance to their plugin. It’s their responsibility anyway.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have additional questions!
