Is there a way to show a subscribers first name already in the confirmation email?
Since the confirmation email is the first thing new subscribers receives, it would be great to personalize it.

I already tried the shortcode [subscriber:firstname | default:subscriber], but it only inserts the text “[subscriber:firstname | default:subscriber]”. I guess it’s because the subscriber (for obvious reasons) haven’t confirmed yet, and therefore the first name of the subscriber isn’t in the database yet.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi @thomasmh,

Unfortunately, that’s not possible. The shortcodes can’t be rendered in the confirmation email, only in the emails created using the MailPoet email editor.

I thought so, but still hoped to personalize it anyway.
    Thanks for your quick reply!
