Pet Manager compatability with other plugins like NEXTGEN

Will Pet manager work with other image plugins like Next Gen gallery? Is incompatibility a common issue with plugins? especially with those that show images?
I am updating a current animal rescue website to display pets available for adoption. They were using NEXTGEN as their gallery plugin. Will I have problems with Pet Manager with NEXTGen plugin loaded on the site?
