• unfortunately, google analytics connected via Site Kit plugin doesn’t work with phastpress enabled. I saw the FAQ but it seems impossible to add that tag when Analytics connected with Site Kit.
Is there maybe some toggle button I can turn off in settings to make GA work? It would be very unfortunate to remove the whole Phastpress from website

    Hi @alexzalex,

    Thanks for trying out PhastPress.

I’ve just released PhastPress 1.75 with support for Google Site Kit. After updating to this version, the load of Google Analytics should no longer be deferred by PhastPress and tracking should work as intended.

If PhastPress is working well for you, I’d really appreciate it if you left a review here. Should you run into any other issues, please let me know.

    Hi, @kiboit

It seems like this problem is back again – Analytics via Google Site Kit cannot register visitors. After I turned off Phastpress – analytics works fine. Please take a look at this

    Hi @alexzalex,

Weird. I’ve just tested with PhastPress 1.83 and Google Site Kit 1.18.0 and there seems to be no issue. The script inserted by Google Site Kit is excluded from optimizations by PhastPress.

However, there is another feature in PhastPress that might cause problems with Analytics sometimes. The analytics.js script is proxied in order to increase its cache duration. Now that Google PageSpeed Insights no longer really looks at cache duration for the scoring, I think it’s time to retire that feature. This might solve your problem too.

I’ve just released PhastPress 1.84 with this change. Please update and let me know if you still experience the same problem.

If you do, it would be great if I could test your site myself with PhastPress turned on. If you don’t want to share the URL publicly, you can use my contact details at the bottom of the plugin description.
