• One of my clients websites was shut down last month. The reason was someone hacked into his website and installed some phishing stuff. Apperantly the hacker had gained access through WordPress, which at that time was version 1.5

We immediately removed wordpress, and later installed the latest version. Now my client was terminated again because of the same problem.

Is this something anyone has experienced, or even know of? What can I do to prevent this?

First, get the host to tell you *exactly* how the hacker gained access. If they claim that it was WordPress, then they should have the evidence to back that up. If they don’t have such evidence, then they’re basically full of it and the hacker got in through some other mechanism.

In which case I’d simply switch hosts. There’s too many hosting services out there to put up with bad service from any one of them.
