Phlox Blog Head

I am building a site using the Phlox Business Solution template and Elementor. This seems like an interesting theme with some nice built-in tools when working with Elementor. However, I have two quite possibly related issues. First how does one change the header on single blog posts? The theme comes with a default watermarked image that seems to be part of the blog post header, which makes it different from the site default header. I had thought that this watermarked image was part of a separate hero bar or banner, but I am now pretty sure it is part of the header.

Which brings me to the second issue. In the course of trying to figure out how to disable this watermarked image, some setting got changed that dropped the top content on all pages – not just posts – down beneath the site header creating a ~100px white strip across the top of every page.

I can get rid of this added whitespace by enabling the “Enable Overlay Header” option on the WordPress Customize Header sub menu. But, when this option is selected, it moves the watermarked image on the single posts header down over about half of the post’s Featured Imaged (which, just to cover the bases here, I have updated) – which is why I suspect the post header is different from the site header.

Also, this mystery header is not one of the two listed in Templates section of the WordPress Dashboard.

Finally, going back to the white space at top of the pages, I have a second site that I have the same theme installed, but essentially unmodified. It does not have this whitespace issue and the “Enable Overlay Header” option is set to No. I have gone back and forth and tried to compare all settings between the two sites and cannot find any other differences.

So, here is what I am wondering:

1. How to either edit or replace the blog post header.
2. How to get rid of white space under headers

I had created a support ticket with Phlox on the first issue, which they responded to quickly. Unfortunately, their advice was to change the blog post’s Featured Image, which had already been done and didn’t make a difference. I sent this information back, but haven’t heard anything since.
