    Hi all,

this is actually my first post on www.ads-software.com. I’ve been working with wordpress quite for a long time now.

I love using the phlox template – appreciate the work of the devlopers <3

    Anyway:

When I try to open the Customizer in WordPress, I can’t click on all the items. The lower points, e.g. WPUlike, work.

For example, I can click on General, but I can no longer click on the continuous item “Layout Options” or similar. I remember that this used to work, but not since the last update.

I have already tested the following:

    • Deactivate all plugins (except Phlox Core, Phlox Portfolio, Elementor)
    • Restarted the server
    • Restarted web server
    • Restarted Database
    • Tried other different theme (WP 2025 – Customizer worked)

See screenshot below (I can no longer click on any of the sub-items marked in red):

Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi All,

I have the same issue since last night. As I remember I did update of Phlox Core Elements. I am not sure whether I did any other update. After that It stopped working exactly like @nwhs? described above. I tried some actions (deactivated all plugins as advised on the forum and some other actions as well) but the issue is still there.

So, I’ve tried to downgrade phlox, and went from the latest version (2.16.5) -> 2.16.3 -> 2.15.5 .. still no change.

    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/theme/phlox.2.16.3.zip
    https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/theme/phlox.2.15.5.zip

I tried to use a specific link too: /wp-admin/customize.php?theme=phlox#undefined (<- btw, has this #undefined always been there?)

    Yours,
    Ari

I have managed to resolve the issue, but it still might cause problems in future. I have restored backup that I have made just before last changes. It has been working after that. With this reverted state I could realize what were exact actions I did last time:
    1. Update of Phlox theme.
    2. Update of word press from 6.6.2. to 6.7

So, I executed those actions again. After theme update everything was working just fine. But, after I updated the word press version it again stopped working in the same manner. So, in my case the root cause is that latest theme version 2.16.5 is having troubles with latest word press version 6.7.

Now I will again revert everything back and use it like that until I hear some news the issue is resolved…

There are some other folks on the internet saying that last version of Word Press messed things up, and that it seems the issues are within WP itself.

I can approve that. The customizer works on version WordPress-Core 6.6.2 and latest phlox version.

I used the following plug-in to downgrade from 6.7 to 6.6.2:
WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version Plugin — WordPress.com

Please backup your site before proceeding to downgrade and disable the auto-updater for the WordPress-Core for now ..

I’ve enable automatic for maintenance and security updates only. I guess we have to wait for a fix from the WordPress Team.

I will mark this thread as resolved.

@lazarjojic Thanks for participating on this post. Stay safe!

Thanks you guys! Now going down the ‘endless fixes’ tunnel, and you guys have already found the solution, appreciated!

    Phlox Changelog: 16-11-2024

[Improvement]: Compatibility with WP 6.7 applied.

I’ve tested it with the latest version of wordpress, it works again.
