Phone # behind an Image?

is it possible to make the phone # behind an image that is clickable?
IE. They click the image and it dials the number on their phone?
I understood this to be the way to do it….
Or use shortcode to enclose HTML eg: [telnumlink “123456789”]<p>Call us today!</p><img src=”phone.jpg”/>[/telnumlink]
However; when I do that I get this….
Ive tried using the image.jpg and the full URL as the img src…
What am I doing wrong?
