    Hi!
The phone field issue with the prefixes for me not just means that a single text came up with “incorrect phone number”. I have an international phone prefix plugin, what is put automatically an area code with a flag. Till Forminator 1.35.1 everything is fine – you can see on my in production page: https://www.bachatatasensual.hu/contact – a contact form here.
The updated forminator to the corrected phone number bug version here:
https://dev1access.bachatasensual.hu/contact – as you can see, the flags are totally different, and if you put a number (for example in hungary: +36 – this is pre-selected – and after the area and the number, seems like an error message.
It is very weird that how can Forminator make wrong flags on another plugin. So just please check bachatasensual.hu and dev1access.bachatasensual.hu – everything is fine in production, but on dev1 with 1.36.3 is error message and also the flags are in wrong place.
You have from an earlier topic a developer username for both sites, you can ask password reset in my login area: bachatasensual.hu/login and dev1access.bachatasensual.hu/login (/wp-admin slug disabled for security reasons).
    Username

    Thank you!
    Peter

Sorry, I’m modifying the last comment: “it seems like the flags are working” – no, not, just from iOS, so under Windows (Firefox, Chrome, Edge) are not, but as I wrote, the developer of the plugin said that they will update the plugin’s library.
From Windows it is impossible to give a telephone number, even if Budapest area 1 even if a mobile number in+36301234567 format.
But from iOS – Chrome and Safari it is working:

    Hello @hollosipeter

I could still notice the flag issue and the international-telephone-input-with-flags plugin codes are still conflicting with forminator. Since this issue is already reported to our development team you should wait for us to find a good solution on our end.

For now please use the following CSS code to fix it, you can add it in wp-admin -> appearance -> customizer -> additional CSS, I’ve tested in my end it was working fine.

    .iti__flag {
        background-size: auto !important;
    }

I’m afraid I couldn’t replicate the second issue even if after using your example number and was able to submit the form successfully and didn’t get any errors, I tested it with Chrome and Firefox on Windows which indicates the issue is most probably related to something on your browser which could be cache or an extension, I would suggest testing it in incognito tab to see how it works and if you still have issues please share a screenshot from your browser console logs.

    Hi Amin!

I put the CSS and now the flags are okay (Firefox 132.0.1, Windows 10). But the invalid phone number stills. +3613353333 or +36304440674. So a workaround for this?
    thank you,

    Hi @hollosipeter ,

    I hope you’re doing well.

About the invalid phone number, for + 36304440674, it seems to be working as you can check here – https://monosnap.com/file/W6WDhVqBeKKJU0tM3grFAccYUFcwn0

Could you confirm if you’re getting a different behavior?

For the other number which I understand based on your explanation is from Budapest, could you please reconfirm this info?

I was doing some research and found that, as you mentioned, the area code for Budapest is 1 which is different from other places where these have a 2-digit code.

Anyways, Budapest numbers are 7 numbers in difference to other places where these have 6 numbers making all these numbers a 9-digit number, I found this info in Wikipedia, and other places doing some research.

I also used this tool to validate your 8 digits number but seems like it is not valid at all – https://intl-tel-input.com/examples/validation-practical.html

I hope to hear back from you soon.

    Best regards,
    Williams

    hi!
    Check this please:
    https://www.bachatasensual.hu/dev1/dev1.png

    Mobile phones still not working.
Landline phones in Budapest with 1, plus 7 digit. 1/335-3333 is my number. The validation tool what you showed me is not working on any landline number.
    So Budapest: 1+7 digits
Any other landline number: 2 digit area code + 6 digit phone number.
Mobile numbers: 2 digit area code + 7 phone number
These area codes can between 22 to 99.
20 (Yettel), 30 (Telekom/T-Mobile), 70 (Vodafone) area codes are mobile phone providers. 21 are for voip numbers. 51, 31 is virtual cellular phone providers. 80 green number, 40 is a number called “blue”, what can be dialled from any mobile or landline phone with the same price.

In Hungary, if we are calling a number, local prefix is 06, so my mobile company public number is +3630|4440674, it can be called like 0630|4440674.

I’m 20 years also working in Telekom, I know everything about the area codes and prefixes.

    thanks,
    peter

    Hi @hollosipeter ,

I hope you’re doing well and I’m sorry to see that you’re facing this issue.

I’m sorry, didn’t mean to say that you were wrong, I was just trying to understand the issue in order to forward it to the plugin team, I just did it so we can check it further and confirm why this could be happening.

We’ll check it and update you here when there is news.

    Hello @hollosipeter

Just following up with an update from the plugin team.

What you are noticing with the form on the latest version is an expected behaviour since we updated the phone validation library which uses the same method Williams shared in one of his past response here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/phone-field-issue-still/page/4/#post-18127825

However, we also have similar reports about this and the issue is already tasked for improvement in future releases. Unfortunately, I cannot share an exact ETA as to when the improvement will be included, but you can follow our roadmap so you are notified when we release an update: https://wpmudev.com/roadmap/

It is working fine on the older version as it is using the old library which unfortunately is currently outdated. Rest assured, we are working on improving this further.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh

    Hi!

Do you have updates with the case? Still not working. The flags, and either not accepting any phone number.

    thank you

    Hello @hollosipeter

Unfortunately, the phone validation issue is still under development and we can’t give an ETA about when its going to be fixed.

At this point, I can only suggest disabling the phone validation or downgrading to older versions.

The phone flags should already be fixed if you still having issues please share an example form URL so we can take a closer look.

    Kind Regards
    Amin

    (@hollosipeter)

    Hi Amin!

    About phone validation:
Windows 10 Chrome, Edge working. Firefox: NOT working
iOS 18.2 Chrome, Safari: working (test site: dev1access.bachatasensual.hu/contact)

So I think only need to fix it under Firefox.

    But:
As I mentioned before, landline phones are out and I don’t know why.
Please put back these numbers with the rule:
If are code 1 – the capital city, Budapest, then 7-digit number next. For example my customer care: +36-1-901-1091
If outside the capital city, for example area 22, then only 6 digit, for eg.: +36-29-364-324

So after area 1 only 7 digit number exists. After with any other landline area, 6 digit number exists.

Now Forminator only validate our three main mobile provider with 7 digits number.

Here are the mobile area codes in Hungary:

    Magyar Telekom (T-Mobile):

    • 30

    Yettel (formerly Telenor):

    • 20

    Vodafone Hungary:

    • 70

Area codes for virtual mobile operators:

Virtual operators typically use the area codes of their host networks, as they do not have their own infrastructure. Examples include:

    • Tesco Mobile: 30 (Magyar Telekom network)
    • Postafon: 30 (Magyar Telekom network)
    • Netfone Telecom: 20 (Yettel network)
    • Lycamobile: 30 or 70 (Magyar Telekom or Vodafone network)
    • Hello! Mobile: 30 (Magyar Telekom network)

    AND…
Here is the list of Hungary’s landline area codes, along with the counties (megye/vármegye) they cover:

    1: Budapest

    • 22: Székesfehérvár (Fejér megye)
    • 23: érd (Pest megye)

    Hi @hollosipeter

Thank you for sharing the information.

I will inform our developers to investigate further, I ran some tests on Windows firefox however I could not still replicate the flags issue maybe its only happening on mac.

We can’t give an estimated time yet for the fix but subscribing to our roadmap https://wpmudev.com/roadmap/ is a good way to be posted about upcoming versions, once they are released, it is going to be described at changelog found on https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/%5Bplugin-slug%5D/#developers

i wrote Firefox about the invalid phone field issue, not about the flags.

    I hope you’re doing well.

this issue is more related to how the validation in general is done so we can’t offer a workaround or fix in the meantime, there is some work to be done on this to be improved.

As Amin mentioned, you can subscribe to our roadmap where we publish the next features https://wpmudev.com/roadmap/ and you’ll also be able to check the changelog here – https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/forminator/#developers

I do apologize for the inconvenience.
