    Hi

Since the latest update, I’ve noticed that the phone field on a few of my clients forms has started displaying the United Kingdom text vertically. I’ve amended most of them to not use the national validation for now but left this one as is so you can see the issue.

Its on desktop only and the issue is in Chrome. It doesn’t seem to be an issue in Firefox. The issue is also present when using the ‘Preview’ of the form in the admin area.

I thought the issue might be to do with a conflict with Jetpack as I had updated both Forminator and Jetpack however I created a staging environment and deleted Jetpack and the issue still persists.

    Can you help?

    Thanks

    Hi @jodoull @georgegd

I hope you are doing well today.

I was not able to replicate this issue on my lab site and when I visited your page in Chrome. To be on the same page with the main issue, please export your form, upload it to Google Drive, and share a link in your next reply. Also, share with us a screenshot of this issue.

@georgegd kindly please open a new ticket with us here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/forminator/#new-topic-0 and follow the above steps so we can review your case separately.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hi Kris

Thanks for looking into this. Heres the link to the Form export and I have also included images for the front end and backend issue:

    Hello jodoull,

I observed exactly the same issue as shown in your attachment with Firefox Desktop, just with a different country. On my side this was resolved in a incognito tab and after I cleared all cookies for the page with the form.

    Hi There

    Thank you for the update.

We found an issue when updating from 1.35.1 to 1.36, based on our tests the browser cache is indeed messing with the flag, and our developers are already investigating why it is happening.

Could you please clear the browser and any site cache?

We let our developers know you are also having this issue.
Let us know the result you got.
    Best Regards

    Hi all,

Sorry for writing in the same ticket. I tried to clear cache and any Cookies for the website containing your form but still the issue continues the same; the flag is not shown and instead the country name is appearing. Using Firefox version 131.0.2 and Falkon version 24.08.2 and have the same result.

    Thank you

    Hi @georgegd, @jodoull

Hope this message finds you well.

    @jodoull

After visiting your page on different browsers I could not reproduce the issue, the flag looks good:

    https://prnt.sc/ER4eHc0MZw0w

Please try as incognito or private mode on Egde for Win or Safari for Mac.

As an alternative, and for testing could you downgrade Forminator to the previous version? You can download it from this link:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/forminator/advanced/

If you downgrade please let us know if the issue went fixed.

    Hi Laura

    Thanks for looking into this.

I’ve tested this a bit more and I don’t believe its an issue with the cache.

I’ve asked my partner who has never looked at that website so no issue of caching and he does not have the issue on his Windows desktop however he does have the issue on Safari on his ipad.

I also have the issue on all browsers on my MAC – safari, chrome & firefox. On my Iphone, the issue exists on both chrome & safari.

Please can you test on a Mac, an ipad or iphone ? Thinking it might be Apple related somehow as partner does not have issues on his desktop (windows based).

Couldnt test on Edge as I dont have that installed. I tested all browsers in incognito mode too and issue still persists

    Thanks

    Hello @jodoull

    Hope you’re doing well today!

I tested the form on your site on Safari and Chrome on Mac and noticed in both cases the phone field label looked as per the below screenshot and showed a console error that could be creating the issue.

    https://monosnap.com/file/K6BUqGraQs7QxaJtMo4SlRvI19Up7p

Since you already have the staging environment setup and clearing cache didn’t help, can you please make a couple of tests and let us know the results?

Please reinstall the latest version (v1.36.1) of the Forminator Plugin, you can do so by navigating to the page here https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/forminator/advanced/ and check if the re-install helps.

If not, please can you downgrade the plugin version to 1.35.1 and check if the issue is gone for all the devices?

Please make sure to clear the cache after each test so that it doesn’t interfere with the output.

    Awaiting your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh

    Hi

Sorry it was half-term so didn’t get a chance to test!

I noticed in your latest version release notes that the issue was fixed so I’ve upgraded to v1.36.3 and can confirm that the issue has gone! ??

    Thanks very much

    Jo
