Hey! I recently started using the woocommerce plugin. Im having an issue with the checkout page where the phone number field is set always to optional white in the Settings / WooCommerce -> General / Checkout page i modified it to required or hidden but still showing and optional both in the preview and published version on all devices. Sam goes for the address line 2, if its optional required or hidden its always hidden. Also the coupon thing when i enable it in the checkout page its also not showing.
    My Plugins:

    WooCommerce Core

    Blocksy Companion

Variation Swatches for WooCommerce by cartflows

    Theme:
    Blocksy

I tried disabling all the plugins and the theme, still same issue

    Thanks in advance

  • @peterchaaya I can not access the https://www.previewer.rf.gd/checkout/ “Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.” -> Firefox.

Can you give me working URL + activate default theme + disable all plugins so we can test with blank state? To me, it looks weird that phone setting is ignored. It seems like custom JS/CSS/PHP code is working above that or the theme does not respect that option.

Can’t really tell exactly, just something that comes up as a first possible solution.

If you are using the checkout block in your checkout page you have edit the checkout page and select the shipping address block and mark the phone number field as required. The checkout block does not use the customizer settings.

Hey, thanks for both of you guys, now its working fine.
But now i discovered a new issue.. Emails!
When making a new order or any other option (All options are enabled) present in the woocommerce setting / emails, its not sending any email at all. Not for me and not for the customers email. Any idea on how to fix that?

Does your hosting allow PHP sendemail function? If due to security reason, they do not allow it, you have to setup it trough SMTP function. This really depends on server configuration.

Here is a nice article: https://kinsta.com/blog/wordpress-not-sending-email/ or check out this plugin Check & Log Email – WordPress plugin | www.ads-software.com.

    Hi @peterchaaya,

You may consider installing a plugin such as WP Mail Logging. This will allow you to access all outgoing email logs from your site. If you observe that mail is being sent, it’s worth inspecting your SMTP settings. Equally important is to check your spam folders or suggest your customers do the same. Sometimes, emails mistakenly marked as spam end up there.

If the issue still continues, please review our email sending FAQ for help, troubleshooting steps and solutions here: https://woo.com/document/email-faq/

I hope this helps! Please let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance.
