Although a minor issue, I noticed that the count of pictures is not correct when an album has subalbums.

If you check on my website (https://photona.org) via the menu “list of species” you will see that the second category is “Coelenterates” (no counter behind the name).
The view count says “View 4 albums and 0 photos(1)” If you click on that category you will see a subalbum “Jellyfishes (1)”
Or when you scroll down a little bit you will see “Insects (1)” with a view count “View 29 albums and 0 photos (149)).

I would expect the counter behind the main album to display the total number of pictures in any subalbum, so “Coelenterates (1)” and “Insects (149)”.

Also for the view count I would expect respectively “View 4 albums and 1 photo” and “View 29 albums and 149 photos”.

Does it make sense for you to change this or is there another reasoning behind it?

    Kind regards,
    Dirk Claesen

The intention was to say: “if you click here you will see 29 albums and no photos, but if you go further you will find 149 photos”, obvious.

Your idea is allright, but, you know… must make it a setting for backward compatibility, not to make others upset…

    You are super!
I can now display the counts exactly as I want.

There is only a minor esthectic issue.
If you go to my website (https://photona.org), select the tab “list of species” and scroll down a little bit, you will see the category “Echinoderms (1)” and the view text is “View 1 photo” (which is correct).
If you scroll down a little bit further, you will see the category “Fishes (1)” but here the view text “View 1 photo” is not displayed.
Not a big issue, but I just wanted to mention it.

Thanks a lot for your support!

Even minor esthetic issues have my full attention. There has been occasions where one pixel kept me working over 8 hours…

What is the setting of Table I-A4: Photocount treshold? If not set to 0, try setting it to 0

    The same happens here:

    Per soort ? Stekelhuidigen
    Slangsterren (1)

If the number of photos is less or equal to Table I-A4, it does not show up in the view link, they are regarded as cover images only. (For use on albums with sub-albums only, but with its own coverphoto(s))

Setting table I-A4 to 0 solved the problem indeed.
Only strange that for one category it was displyaing “View 1 photo” and for another category it didn’t.

    Thanks! Problem solved.

That depends on the album. If the single photo is in a sub album: it is counted in the parent album, if it is in the album where you see the cover from: it is ignored.

The parent album does not take the photocount treshold of sub(sub)albums into account; to make it not even more complex.
