Photo descriptions not displaying

    Great plugin! We use Flickr for our public photos and this is a fabulous way to share our content on our website – thank you!

    I am working on some web updates and noticed that our captions are no longer showing up. In the “settings” section, I’ve tried the following:

    1. Turning captions – ON
    2. Turning descriptions – ON
    3. Turning BOTH (at the same time) – ON

    But the captions are still not appearing. I DO see the photo title when I hover when over the grid and at the top in the lightbox.

    I admit that our captions are long, but it would be nice to see them – if nothing else, in the lightbox form.

  • Since looking again at the settings, and realising I actually have Responsive Lightbox installed, I tried deselecting your lightbox options. I had to make sure ‘image description’ was selected in general settings of Responsive Lightbox but it worked, and image descriptions are showing.
    The only slight problem being that a description on two lines overlaid the image on the second line.

    Can you somehow show the description outside the lightbox? Similar to Awesome Flickr Gallery has it. The descriptions are at the bottom of the photo?

    Seem to be having some trouble getting descriptions to display. The captions display but I don’t see any descriptions. I am using the code below to display a gallery on my site here.

    [flickr_set id=”72157629838367451″ captions=true show_descriptions=true]

    By inspecting the page source it seems the plugin is recognizing the “show_description=true”. The class of the div below the div class=”caption” is “photo-title photo-title-with-desc” rather than “photo-title”.
