    Hello,

Many of the photos that we upload are of the form N.jpg where N is a 9 digit number. I have been noticing that the Photo ID is set to N. Is this just a coincidence or is it by design?

Is there a short code of some sort that will display the Photo ID?

    Thanks!

This is by design. One of the benefits of this is that you can easily find a photo by the id that you know on the album admin page (in the green bar you can enter either a regular search word or the id), even when Table IX-E18.3 Exclude numbers is ticked.

If the id is already in use, an other id will be choosen, so you should not experience any issues because of this.

Otherwise, the id has no meaning other than just being a unique identifier of the photo.

You can enter w#id in the photo description; this will – on the fly – be translated into the id of the item.

Other w#.. keywords are documented here: https://wppa.nl/docs-by-subject/keywords/

Thank you Jacob. This is what I thought. Just needed some clarification.

    Thanks!
