Photo popup with long description?

  • I’ve used the built-in Thickbox capability, looked at Slimbox, Lightbox Plus, and several other image-viewing popup plugins, but I can’t find what I’m looking for.

    When an image pops up, I want it to display not only the photo and a short caption or title, but a long(ish) description, say a few paragraphs. The plugins I’ve looked at allow a couple of fields (title/alt text AND description) but either only use one of them, or don’t format things very well with more than a few words of text. I did a mock-up of what I’m looking for here:

    I know you can do it with Thickbox and some others using inline code and HTML, but it’s a pain–especially considering how hard it is to enter lots of HTML in WordPress without getting mucked up.

    So, is there something out there already I can use? Or do I have to gin it up myself the hard way?
