    Are you on the current version?

    Have you been keeping up with the updates? I only ask to know which update may be at fault.

    Please look in your /wp-content directory. Is there a file named strong-error.log? If so, please post its contents.

    Also, try disabling the honeypots in Settings > Form.

    always up to date and no error log.

    disabling the honeypots worked. I’ve temporarily added captcha, but would like to go back to using honeypots once this is resolved.

    Thanks for the info. The honeypots have not changed in recent versions so I’m wondering if it’s a new conflict with something else. I can try to reproduce the problem but it would help if you could provide the name of your theme and your active plugins; if not here then contact me at wpmission.com.
