Photon vs image compression tools
-
I have a site with big and quite not so optimized images. Pondering wether I should bulk optimize all images with a plugin tool like TinyPNG (www.ads-software.com/plugins/tiny-compress-images), set up Photon or both.
Would there be any gains by first compress the images and then connect Photon? I couldn’t do the other way round I guess since Photon would not use the compressed images unless their names are changed? And perhaps there is no point in compress images in the first place since Photon would do that for me anyway?
Thanks /Leah
