Yes, I did, but it is not working. I realize that your plugin is really simple, but I could not make it work. Could it be because WordPress 4?

Unfortunately I have never set up this option of the plugin. I might have to set it up to test it. I don’t think WordPress 4.0 will be causing major issues. It was working with WordPress 3.9.2.

What are your current plugin settings? Please don’t display your private ID or keys here. I am just wondering about your basic settings.

    Thank you

Hi schacham I just did some testing and Photonic does not work with WordPress 4.0. Your assumption above was correct.

You will have to find another plugin until this plugin is fixed.

    Kind regards

Can you try it with user_id='my-email' instead of user_id='[email protected]'? I have it running with WP 4.0 on the above link, and it seems to work fine.

Hi @sayontan, I tried many options and could not get it to work. I also tested the gallery part of photonic and also had problems when inserting a gallery.

Hi @sayonatan, I have same issue here :
    https://tropicafer.fr/site/?page_id=11

wp4, I’ve tried id, email and user… none of them work !
Can I help in some way ?

I tried with only the gmail user and it did not work either. I tested some other picasa gallery plugins and some of them also have WP4 issues.

Thanks a lot for all your help. I am trying with another solution for now.

I got it working using this :
    [gallery type='picasa' user_id='*****' kind='photo' album='portails' max_results='50' slideshow_height='500' columns='4' thumbnail_width='300' thumbnail_height='300' ]

misunderstood was kind album is for displaying collections of albums and kind photo is to display one album, I though photo was for a collection of photos_id taken from anywhere : so don’t put album-name when u use kind album !

    Even albums collections works !

One more thing, whatever the size I choose, it will display small tiny 75px pics then again, whait is the purpose of having thumbnail_width, thumbnail_height and thumbnail_size, I guess the 2 first must not be used with the latest !? Anyway I can’t get my thumbnails resized !

A tiny lack of docs…hum hum but your pluginSSS are so awesome that I have to shut up my f@^\`|[{ mouth and go to hell !

Ok once again all iw working perfectly :

    it thumbsize=’150′ and not thumbnail_size

this thread must be put in hall of (sh)fame of Sayonatan’s Fan Boy Nerds…

So finally I’m happy to help : I found out that if you ask for a max that is bigger than the real number of photo in your album then it’s no more working !

Hi @schacham after some testing I managed to get it working. @sayontan sorry about my comment saying it was not working. I can confirm that it does work with WordPress 4.0.

This is what you need to do first to make sure it works. Test the following shortcode.

    [gallery type='picasa' user_id='your id']

If the above does not work then you need to find out your user ID. Once you find your user id then you will have all the album displayed by using the above shortcode.

Let me know if this helps you.

    Regards

Hi @schacham, did you manage to solve your issue?

    Hi,
Photonic gallery was working great for me until I upgraded to WP4 (at least I think that is the root of the problem). Now it doesn’t show the flickr galleries at all, and just shows photos that have been added to the post for other purposes out of place.

I’ve played around with the embed code a few times to try and get it to work, but nothing does. The last one I tried was this:

    [gallery type='flickr' user_id='XXXXX@XX' gallery_id='XXXXXXXX']

If there aren’t any solutions, I will probably try and revert to the older version of wordpress.
