• Hello!
I have a strange problem with Photonic and Flickr. I am very satisfied with the gallery, but the problem is that it loads incredibly slowly. What could be the problem? Is it possible to do something about it, like turning off any preloading? I have seen others using the gallery with more Photosets than me and their works faster…

  • Did you optimize your photos for the web? See https://www.learn.columbia.edumcah2pdftraining_resolution.pdf.

If you don’t have photoshop, you can prepare your images with Gimp, a free download. I prefer PaintNet because it gives you direct control of the pixels per inch, which enabled me to reduce both the absolute number of pixels and the display size of the image to the desired size without any need to reduce the picture quality.

    Hi,

for me Flickr is also very slow. It takes very long to load the photo-sets of my collection. The photos are already optimized.

Is there a way to cache the gallery page?

Or is it possible to split the photo-sets to multiple pages?
