You can use this setting to enable Open Graph meta for any content types you have such as Pages, Posts and Custom Post Types.

Based on the check boxes you select here you will see new drop down fields where you can set the default Object Type for each content type.

You can set that to whatever you want. You can also control the image on each individual post when you edit the post – https://semperplugins.com/documentation/social-meta-settings-individual-pagepost-settings/

GREATLY appreciate the support here always!

Hi, I’m wondering if someone on this forum can help me with a similar issue. I’m using the All in One SEO Pack and have also been having problems sharing blogs to social media sites, particularly Facebook, Twitter, and Google+. Like Mickeydownunder, the issue has been with photos, in particular, not posting the featured image on each blog. I’ve checked the settings and “featured image” is set under options. I also am not able to share to Twitter at all. I get the message box to write my tweet via my blog, but then when I hit submit, I get a red error message that says “Sorry! We did something wrong.” No other info is provided. Any ideas would be appreciated!

    My site is twosmallpotatoes.com.

    Hi Carrie,

I checked your latest post and All in One SEO Pack is outputting the Open Graph meta and it all looks fine. I checked it using Facebook’s debug tool and it came back ok. The thing to understand here is that Facebook caches information about your site for 7 days, you can use their debug tool to fetch new information such as the image, or you can wait 7 days until then scrape your site again.

I don’t know what’s causing that Twitter error, it’s too generic a message. You may want to head over to Twitter support and post in their support forums and see if anyone has ever seen that error message before.

    Hi wpsmort!

Several of my latest posts also came back ok when I run them through the debugger but I still can’t post them to FB with the featured image showing. It’s weird that it looks fine on your end. The other problem is that I’m having to debug every single blog link before manually posting to FB, which is just incredibly time consuming, especially since I’d like to just publish and publicize across 4 or 5 different social media platforms. I guess I’ll just post another blog today and hopefully it’ll work.

I tried to post a discussion on the Twitter Support site but received this error message:

    Access Denied
You are not allowed to access the requested URL “/node/add/discussion”.

I’m just baffled but since I migrated my WP blog from wordpress.com to a new server a month or so ago, I just can’t get any of these things to work correctly.

Thanks for looking into the issue,
    Carrie
