Photos Not Loading in Mobile View

  • Some of my photos are not loading on mobile devices. I am using Theme “Twenty Sixteen”. The photos that do not appear are posted as medium 225 x 300 typically. They show up on a desktop browser using Safari, but not on a mobile device using Safari.

    It looks like the photo partially loads. And I can fix it, at least temporarily, but changing the photo to thumbnail, then changing it back to ‘medium’ – although it may or may not remain as thumbnail on the mobile browser.

    For a non-fixed example on the above page, scroll way down to the small title “Opto Switches” to the photo with the text “Opto switch – courtesy Marco.”

    I just checked in Firefox on the same mobile device, and it displays, so it maybe limited to Safari?

    Looks OK on Android Chrome as well. There could have been a communications glitch upon initial retrieval. Once the browser has the corrupted image in its cache, it can keep using that same broken image over and over because HEAD requests indicate the image has not changed in some time.

    Be sure you have a good strong data connection, then flush the browser cache to force a reload of all images.
