• I know how to select a photo to use for all the pages and also how to select the multiple photos, which rotates the photos through different pages, but is there a way to select a specific photo for each page?

  • some of the themes contain “featured image” for every post / page.. this will make things easier..

Thanks, Kit. I don’t think I’m using the themes they offer, but I’m not very adept at software – old and old-fashioned, I’m sorry to say. But I will check to see if I can do it with you welcome advice.

    see here:

that is a website i manage.. the picture in the “featured image” is the same as the picture inserted into each post.. browse to see yourself..

but this function of featured image does not mean you have to use the same picture for the featured one and the inserted one.. in essence, you may put a featured image even without a picture inserted into a post, and vice versa..

i am thinking that this is what you are trying to accomplish..

Thanks for the info, Kit, but it’s not what I’m trying to do. Or at least, I don’t think it is. I have about 8 pages for different categories; Home, music, stories, poems, etc. and what I want is to have a different photo at the top of each page to represent the category. I know how to use one photo that works for all pages or multiple photos that rotate. They rotate randomly, though, instead of each photo staying on the page I want to assign it to.

Thanks Bemdesign. I followed your link and I think I might have discovered one that will allow me to do that. I just worry that it requires me to “Code.” I’m ok at hitting buttons, but if I have to type in code I’m helpless. I’ll write again to report my results.

Well done, Kit; I really enjoyed the video and I was impressed by the examples of your artwork even though they were glimpsed quickly. Keep up the good work.

I also appreciate the help you’ve given me here. My website is a dot.com, but though I do refer viewers to Amazon to buy some of my books (and soon iTunes for my music), I am not using it as a commercial site. I just want the opportunity to make my work and ideas accessible to others. My goal is to provide enough content for visitors to spend hours reading and listening without having to buy anything.

no prob.. thanks for the ideas.. ??
