Photos Pixelated When added to Media Folder AND Inserted into posts

Question for you. I am trying to complete a blog post I started over a month ago. When I originally added the photos in the post they looked great. I added two photos into the post last night . One I took with my camera, another was pulled from the web. Once inserted into the post they are pixelated. Look terrible. I spent most of last night trying to figure it out with no luck. I even tried adding it to my media folder first then putting it in to the post. I have played with the sizes in the post settings. Nada. I installed and turned on two different image compression plugin and that made it worse. I really am stumped if there is a setting somewhere that is screwed up. I have had the issue with trying to edit some old posts as well. I am attaching one of the original images and a screenshot of what it is looking like. Any ideas????? Attaching how pic is looking. It almost looks like a watercolor painting or something. Not correct.
