Photos upload, but don’t appear in post, just the photo name

  • When uploading a photo, I’m following the steps properly but what I get inserted into my post is the space where the photo should go, but no photo.
    In the post I click “add an image” > select files > choose my photo file (.jpg) > align it > set the size > insert into post.

    This takes me back to my post w/ the photo information in the post, then click “update post”. Going to the website, there is an empty space with the dimensions of the photo and just the photo name.

    I can post a photo from photobucket, using either a direct link or html, but I shouldn’t have to go through the extra steps.

    I’m using WP 2.7.1, and it is the same in Chrome, IE, or Firefox.

    Please check that upload photo does have require permissions..if not then set it to 755 recursive permissions.
