    I need a URL, please.

I usually don’t want urls to sites I built laying open on the forums. But ok.

The first pickup image on the page got a working photoswipe lightbox (and some other images early on the page). If you scroll down quite far to a bright green truck in front of a red house: that one for instance doesn’t work.

I have excluded all the lightbox js scripts from Photonic in the Autoptimize settings. I just tried the Fancybox 3 and that worked with all the images (and Autoptimize enabled).

It is likely that the slideshow in the middle is interfering with this – I tried a test post with PhotoSwipe and multiple separate non-Photonic images and it didn’t cause any issues.

In your case as the error is getting triggered from within PhotoSwipe, my guess is that the markup that is being encountered with the slideshow is not to PhotoSwipe’s liking and that may be throwing off the processing of later images on the page. It is likely that Fancybox has internal coding around this.

That being said, are you using Photonic just for the lightbox and not for overall gallery capabilities? That would be overkill, since Photonic’s main capabilities lie in the gallery space (i.e. pulling multi-level data from different sources, doing different types of layouts etc.). Using it just as a lightbox plugin works, but you end up loading a bunch of back-end code and front-end scripts where a simple lightbox plugin might have been a lot more efficient. E.g. in Photonic the JavaScript to deal with standalone images is just around 10 lines plus whichever lightbox you are using, but the rest of the script is considerably larger since it has to deal with justified grids, mosaic layouts, etc.

Thanks for the long answer. I had the feeling that the Carousel widget was the culprit. I couldn’t find anything in the source code that differed between the images that worked and those that didn’t.

I do use Photonic for the masonry layout and showing galleries of images in other pages. I have stopped using Google galleries, I had problems with galleries disappearing when the page was recreated by the caching plugin (WP Fastest Cache).

I enabled the setting to use Photoswipe on all images with links since Elementor’s native lightbox is quite basic. I think the Photoswipe lightbox is the best out there. But, and I have written and asked you before, Photoswipe can’t create galleries from Elementor slideshows (like the one on my page). I will change to Fancybox 3. The second best.

    All the best
