    Hi All,

I’m in the process of developing a new website and I am currently using the Book a Room Plugin. I am using a local server to create the site.

I installed the plugin when php was set to 7.4.1. When I changed to php 8.0 the site crashes and it will not display.

Has there been any update on the Book a Room plugin and it’s compatibility with php 8.0? I would have thought that this should be priority as PHP 7.4.1 will become maintenance only in November.

I’ve seen the previous posts on php 7 but they seem closed and cannot post to them, which is why I am starting a new thread.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Just an update. It is Book a Room that is causing the site to crash. I deactivated Book a Room and changed php to 8.0. Then when I reactivate Book a Room, the site crashes. Change it back to php 7.4 and the site is ok again.

There are a bunch of updates I need to do, but since we’re no longer using this at work, I am no longer able to maintain or update things at work, so I am trying to get ownership of the source and will update things soon in my free time.

This is replacing all the mysql_ commands with mysqli_ and I’ll get to it as soon as I can, after work.

Can you try the latest update, please?

Thanks for the message and the update.

Yes, the update does seem to work with php 8.0.

    Many thanks
