PHP 8.1 Upgrade Issues

  • Hi, my site host is in the process of upgrading to PHP 8.1. I’ve done a test run with it on several of the sites I run and it’s been fine – however there seems to be an issue with the Product Variations Plugin. The colour swatches are just named…the colours don’t show. This is on a live shop, so is a bit of an issue.

    My host has rolled the site back to the previous version (PHP 7.4) and they say it’s working on their servers (it doesn’t seem to be working in the real world yet though)

    Is this something that will be resolved? My host stops security support for 8.1 in November.

    Hi Anthony,

    Thank you for reaching out to us.

    I’ve checked the product page you sent above, from what I can tell, the variations are showing in “Color Design” of Swatches Profile, as “Button” of “Display Type”, is that correct?

    If yes, please change “Display Type” to “Color” and check again.
