PHP 8.2 Compatibility

  • Our host is going to remove support for PHP 7.4 and force upgrades to 8.2 before the end of the year. I’m using Version: 3.3.1 of the free version of the template, which is supposedly the current version. When I test the host to 8.2, the site crashes with the GeneratePress theme. I can get it to work with other themes on 8.2. Any idea what the issue is with this theme and PHP 8.2 and when it will be fixed?

    if you can enable WP Debug on the server and check the error log it should provide some info on whats causing the crash.

    It actually looks like it was a conflict with the template and the plugin PJW Query Child Of

    The site doesn’t use that plugin any longer so I just deleted it. The theme is working with 8.2 now.
