• Hey,
I’m running your plugin alongside Elementor and I’ve just upgraded php to 8.
    I now get this error:

PHP Deprecated: Function _register_controls is <strong>deprecated</strong> since version 3.1.0! Use Elementor\Controls_Stack::register_controls() instead. in /var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5379

    Is there any fix?

    Hi @tridentmarketing

First, I’d like to let you know that FooGallery has been taken through extensive tests and I can confirm to you that it is compatible with the latest stable version of PHP, version 8.1.8, and also with the latest stable version of WordPress, version 6.0.1.

Looking at the error message you’ve shared, this is not being caused by FooGallery. From my investigations, it’s coming from one of the Elementor Extensions you have enabled, or even Elementor itself. Kindly ensure that you update the Elementor extensions and plugin (and even WordPress) to the latest versions.

If the issue still persists after that, I’d advise you to open a support ticket with Elementor who would be in a much better position to assist with this.

With all of that said, this warning message should not affect any of your site’s functionality or display any messages to the frontend of your site as long as you have debugging disabled.

    Thanks.

    Kind regards,
    Elvis.
