I see this plugin is still not working with PHP 8.
As PHP 7.4 is phasing out right now (in 7 days, there will only be security updates for 7.4) I think PHP 8 compatibility is needed.

For example: the function get_magic_quotes_gpc() is deprecated in PHP 7.4 and is deleted in PHP 8, but is still used in this plugin.

  • I am also wondering about this as not only is it mildly incompatible, it completely breaks my site if I switch to PHP 8.0, which I would very much like to do. Please advise on what plans you have to address this.

    Hi @dvolkering and @mojamba,

We’ll be working on more PHP 8 / PHP 8.1 compatibility soon. We’re quite delayed with the amount of tasks we have and we apologise for it.

We did work on PHP 8 compatibility last year and it did work for customers that used it. But, as things progress, plugins get updated, and WordPress gets updated, it can break any plugin. We’ll make sure to fix those issues reported here and do a thorough checkup as well.

    Thanks for reporting this!
