PHP 8 error

  • Hi,

    I am at present testing all my websites with php 8, unfortunately one of my websites uses your plugin (which I am very happy with) and exhibits the following errors.

    Warning: Undefined array key “tag” in D:\xampp\htdocs\parkers\wp-
    content\plugins\smart-recent-posts-widget\includes\widget.php on line 115

    Warning: Undefined array key “cat_exclude” in D:\xampp\htdocs\parkers\wp-
    content\plugins\smart-recent-posts-widget\includes\widget.php on line 116

    Warning: Undefined array key “tag_exclude” in D:\xampp\htdocs\parkers\wp-
    content\plugins\smart-recent-posts-widget\includes\widget.php on line 117

    Is this something you can help me with please.

    Undefined means the there is no data yet, you can try re-saving the widget. This is not an error, I will address this issue for the next release.

    Thank you for your swift reply, I had tried re-saving the widget, I had also tried deleting the widget then reinstalling it, all to no avail.

    I look forward to your next release. I hope it’s not to long.
