• Upgraded to 2.7 from 2.6.5. Now randomly I get the following error:

PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 01BF6F0C

I have several WordPress sites running on Windows 2003 Server IIS 6.0, PHP 5.2.0, MySQL 5.0.27. This is the only site I have upgraded to 2.7 (not publicly viewable yet). All other sites are working properly (version 2.6.5). The error only appears randomly. Refreshing the page will normally display the site correctly.
Things I’ve done so far which had no effect:

    1. I have deleted all files from the site root (except wp-content) and copied fresh 2.7 files to the root.
    2. I have restarted IIS.
    3. I have deactivated all of my plugins.
    4. I have tried multiple browsers to eliminate browser issues.
    5. There is nothing in the server logs to indicate a problem.

I am open to suggestion at this point. If it cannot be fixed quickly, how do I revert my database back to a 2.6.5 compatible version?

Since posting, I have also completely wiped out my root folder and my database tables and started over. I still receive the 01BF6F0C error randomly.

Not a WordPress error. No script of any kind should be able to cause a crash in PHP. This indicates that something else on your system is unstable and causing the issue.

I have fixed the issue. I upgraded to PHP 5.2.8 and the error has disappeared.
